A Black Eye? No, It's . . .
My B&W Photo Month!
I encountered these two ladies in a French restaurant on the Upper East Side of NYC. I was impressed that there were no phone in evidence as they enjoyed a lengthy lunch. It turns out they hadn’t see each other in 12 years! I shared this image with them after I processed it. It was fun for me to see how much fun they were having.
Here we are in the same French restaurant as the image above this one. The resto with the photos of Bardot all over it. This was the table next to mine. There was something poignant about its perfection and air of hopefulness as the afternoon sun lighted it up.
Yes, it’s that time of year! I can now nurse a cappuccino for as long as I like at an outdoor café in the sun of a spring afternoon. It’s 3:00-4:00ish, so the waiters can hang out and tell me their stories. Currently, I’m on West 56th Street, enjoying the Art Deco architecture around me. The parks are bursting with blossoms and all’s right with the world. For now.
Some days it’s actually a pleasure to be in NYC!
Enjoy!
